Things to Think About
If you don’t like the devil’s fruit, stay out of his orchard.

It only takes a few moments to open deep wounds, but it takes years to heal them.

We are not on this earth to get rich, we are on earth to be enriched.

If you think you are perfect, try walking on water.

Food Pantry
The food pantry is running low on fruit. See Ed or Fran for more details.

Concert in the Park
Ohio Valley University blessed the Eastwood area with the A Cappella singing at Wilson Park Saturday Oct. 17th. The singing was not the only sound to be heard as many kids to adults enjoyed fellowship while playing games, having conversations and eating a hotdog or two. The weather was on the cool side but a bonfire, more singing and a devo provided some much welcomed warmth. Check back soon for pictures.

Tutoring Snacks
We are still in need of a few more healthy snacks. A box has been provided in the lobby. Possible ideas for snacks would be fruit or jello cups, dry cereal, granola bars, crackers or pretzels with peanut butter or cheese. If you have any questions, please see Julie Morgenstern.
FYI
Work Search Program
Through a partnership with the AARP Foundation, the Eastside Neighborhood Association’s Computer Lab can be used to do employment searches and register for a WorkSearch program that matches your job interest with available position openings. Joel Lovings is in charge of this program, and will be in the computer lab Monday through Wednesday from 11-5. For more information, you can call their office at 381-0700.
